The next CSREM Roundtable\u00a0Alliance safety professional development meeting\u00a0is\u00a0Tuesday,\u00a0April 10th at 10:00. This month\u2019s Topic is\u00a0a presentation on Melanoma the skin cancer. Outdoor workers are exposed to the sun for long periods of time\u00a0including during the peak hours of the day\u00a0when the sun is at its strongest.<\/p>\n
Speakers are\u00a0Deb Girard, Executive Director of IMPACT Melanoma and Dr.\u00a0Robin Travers of IMPACT Melanoma. Together theywill\u00a0present important information and statistics\u00a0about\u00a0skin cancer\u00a0and best practices to prevent and\u00a0reduce your risk. In addition, attendees will have the chance to use a UV facial scanner to\u00a0help understand the damaging effects of the sun and through the use of ultra-violet rays see the underlying layer of their skin not visible to the naked eye.<\/p>\n
