Our next CSREM Roundtable Ambassador Alliance safety professional development meeting is Tuesday,\u00a0January 09, 2024\u00a0at 10am.\u00a0This month\u2019s topic is\u00a0City of Boston Inspectional Services Department (ISD) Construction\/ Demo permitting and inspection campaign. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaker is Marc Joseph; Deputy Commissioner\/Inspector of Buildings, ISD\/Building & Structures,\u00a01010 Massachusetts Avenue; 5th floor, Boston, MA 02218. Topic includes the new City of Boston Construction\/ Demo ordinance that went into effect on 12\/1\/23 for applicable projects in Boston. Attention is directed to attached statement essentially stating the contractor must possess a Site Specific Safety Plan (SSSP). The completed Affidavit is submitted with bid docs. One does not have to provide the SSSP during the permit process as ISD does not approve safety plans, but they do require a copy of the waiver. Other safety documentation, that is required to be available onsite for an ISD inspector, includes new hire orientation and weekly safety meeting evidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
