June Meeting Announcement

Hello Ambassador Alliance Roundtable folks, 

Our next CSREM Roundtable Ambassador Alliance safety professional development meeting is Tuesday, June 13th at 10:00. This month’s topic is MA & BFD fire code changes.

Lt. Paul Fitzpatrick, in charge of Boston Fire Dept. Construction Safety Unit, will speak on MA & BFD fire code changes, BFD Permitting, material used for temporary enclosures, approved trash chutes, and a lessons learned slide presentation of past violations, etc.

This June meeting is sponsored and hosted by Michael Nicotera of Suffolk Construction. The meeting is being held at Suffolks Corporate Office, 65 Allerton Street, Boston, MA. Parking is available along all side streets. If you haven’t attended a meeting at Suffolk before, just drive up to the wrought iron motor vehicle sliding gate, someone will acknowledge you remotely, automatically open the gate for you, park in designated visitor spots, walk back out wrought iron personnel swing passage gate, enter through front rotating glass doors, sign-in front desk. If ya get lost call Nancy on her cell phone 617-959-4414.

May’s Meeting Announcement

Our next CSREM Roundtable Ambassador Alliance safety professional development meeting is Tuesday, May 09th at 10:00. This month’s topic is MA DLS 2022 safety statistics.

Michael A. Fiore, MA Department of Labor Standards, On-Site Consultation Program, Occupational Safety & Health Statistics Program will present a most interesting view focusing on Massachusetts occupational injury and illness surveillance and both fatal and nonfatal data, plus an overview of the On-Site Consultation Program. If time permits Michael will have some Lessons Learned slides on a MA worker fatality incident.

CSREM’s April Meeting Announcement

Hello Ambassador Alliance CSREM folks, 

Next CSREM Ambassador Alliance safety professional development meeting is Tuesday, April 11th at 10:00. Topic is Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events.

The instructor is Terence M. Delehanty, who has 30 years of law enforcement experience, with the last 14 years as Chief of Police for the Town of Winthrop.  Chief Delehanty is also a practicing attorney in Massachusetts.  He has led the Town of Winthrop through its darkest moments of an active shooter incident on June 26th, 2021, steering the police department and community through the recovery phase of that incident. Chief Delehanty is a legal instructor for the Municipal Police Training Council.  Chief Delehanty also develops and conducts specialized training for Commonwealth Police Legacy, LLC on numerous legal topics.  As the Police Chief of Winthrop, Chief Delehanty directs and coordinates all active shooter training for the Winthrop School District.  He currently sits on the Massachusetts Chiefs of Police School Safety subcommittee.
