Our next CSREM Roundtable Ambassador Alliance safety professional development meeting is Tuesday, November 14th at 10am. This month’s main topic is Proper Rigging Practices.  

Presenters include Paul DeMattie VP Sales – East, Crosby Corporate and Luke Rivard, Crosby Northeast Area Sales Manager, Field Application and Product Trainer for the Northeast Region USA will present the following topics based on ASME, representing Crosby:

-Risk Management and basic Rigging Plan

-The Rigging Triangle and Loads on rigging

-Inspection of rigging hardware and slings

Our next CSREM Roundtable Ambassador Alliance safety professional development meeting is Tuesday, October 10th at 10am. This month’s main topic is Fall Protection.  

Presented by Mark Heffron. Mark has served as an EH&S safety professional in construction, general industry, transportation and environmental industries since 1979, is retired from OSHA and presently is employed by FEMA. While with OSHA Mark was Sr. Safety and Health Specialist & Emergency Management Coordinator OSHA Region 1 Boston Office, in both enforcement and technical support throughout the New England area. Mark in enforcement served as the Region 1 Subject Matter Expert in fall protection. In addition to Mark’s technical presentation regarding fall protection, Mark has been working for FEMA for the last month down in Hawaii regarding the conflagration. He agreed to talk about that experience as well.

Our next CSREM Roundtable Ambassador Alliance safety professional development meeting is Tuesday, September 12th at 10am.  This month’s topic is Mental Health First Aid.  

Cheryl Englehardt, LPN, Onsite Medical Program Manager of OHS Training & Consulting, Inc. will speak on Mental Health First Aid and give an overview on how to apply an action plan in a variety of situations such as; panic attacks, suicidal thoughts or behaviors, non-suicidal self injury, overdose or withdrawal from alcohol or drug use, and reactions to traumatic events.  See the individual, not the disability.  

In addition, as indicated in Michael Fiore’s recent email there will be time for in-person commitment resigning of the CSREM Ambassador Alliance members as sponsored by Michael A. Fiore, MA Department of Labor Standards, Program Supervisor, On-Site Consultation Program, Occupational Safety & Health Statistics Program and Peter Barletta, OSHA Compliance Assistance Specialist, OSHA Boston-South Office.
